Please remember to speak to the surgery well in advance of you going abroad for your holidays as some vaccinations need to be given six weeks or more in advance to take effect. We do not stock all vaccinations as they have to be ordered in due to 'shelf-life' and can add time onto the process.

From November 1st 2017 GP practices in Redditch and Bromsgrove will be launching a new Healthcare Navigation Scheme which aims to offer patients the choice to see the most appropriate person, without the need to see a GP each time.

The Healthcare Navigator role will be introduced in GP practices in the Redditch and Bromsgrove area and will consist of GP practice staff (including administration and clerical staff) being trained to provide a greater role in signposting patients when they call up their GP surgery for an appointment.   

Patients will notice that Healthcare Navigators will ask for more information about the difficulties that they have been having.  The Healthcare Navigators are bound by a confidentiality agreement so patients should feel comfortable to discuss the basic details relating to their situation.  In this way Healthcare Navigators might be able to provide other options which may be more beneficial to the patient than simply seeing the GP.


Due to a very large increase in patient demand for appointments, we are currently reviewing our appointment system to see how best we can allocate appointments. 

Based on current feedback from patients and with reducing the rates of non attendance in mind the vast majority of our appointments are currently bookable on the day only.

To book one of these, you should call the surgery at 8:30am for a morning appointment or at 2:00pm for an afternoon appointment on the day you wish to attend the surgery. We are aware these times may be very busy on the phones and you may experience difficulty in getting through to a healthcare navigator which can mean you have to try several times, or even be asked to call again, as the appointments do get booked up very quickly.You may be asked if you appointment is urgent in order to allow appointments to be allocated to those with more pressing medical needs 

We do also offer some pre-bookable appointments, and the healthcare navigator can advise you of these when you call in.

If you need to discuss results, review medication or have a query that you feel may not need a face to face appointment. You may able to get GP advice over the phone. These are offered on a first come first serve basis and during your conversation with the doctor where details become complex the doctor may wish to see you in a face to face appointment which they will arrange for you. 

These can be booked by telephone or at reception at 10:00am Monday - Friday 

GPs will call back from 11:00am onwards , however these times may vary. They will try to reach you at least twice if you miss these calls you may be asked to re-book for another day. 

We also offer some telephone consultations via our extended access please ask at reception for further details. 


A chaperone service is available at the surgery for all patients when seeing the doctor or nurse. If you feel this is something you may require please ask at reception when booking an appointment.


If you suspect that you have a urinary tract infection (UTI) this may not require a routine appointment with a GP as you can bring a sample into the surgery and hand in at reception before 12:00pm. A nurse will then test the urine and refer the result over to a doctor to review and issue a prescription if required.
